The 112 Worldwide Emergency Cell Phone Number Hoax
By 2besure
If you ever are in a situation where you need help and are in an area where you cannot get phone reception. When you can press 112 on cell phones it will have your call rerouted via satellite and get a live connection. The worldwide number for emergencies on mobile phones is 112.
When buying a cell phone, one of the most important features, is signal reliability. Mobile phones that are known to drop calls and give spotty service, are soon dropped for more reliable ones.
There is nothing more terrifying than being in an isolated place, a broke down car and no cell phone connection. Remember the horror movie, "Wrong Turn?" You can feel the panic of the woman knowing, she is in a dangerous situation and cannot contact anyone to help her.
True or Fiction
You may have received an e-mail like this, giving you seemingly this helpful information. It sounds reasonable enough and who wouldn't want to have this knowledge when in a tight situation.
Being able to reach help when you need it is something that everyone desires, especially when you are out of reach or cell phone towers and in an isolated place.
This e-mail has been sent to countless numbers of people via an e-mail sent and encouraged to be forwarded to someone else. And forward it to friends and family, thousands of people did.
Can we trust information sent to us merely because it is sent in an e-mail? Wouldn't you forward this to someone you loved?

The Truth of the Matter
The claim is that the universal emergency contact number for cell phones is 112. This is not exactly true. This number is limited the Europe and some boarding countries. If you live in these areas you will be able to connect with an emergency service. This is not the case for Asia, Africa and North and South America.
If you live in America, and you have an emergency the best number to reach help are still 911. Each country programs cell phones for the proper emergency number for that area.
Some cell phone companies will allow you to reach an emergency number even when out of the prescription location. However, there is no magical way to get a cell phone connection when you are in a location where there are no cell towers or service in that particular area.
If you ever receive an e-mail like this, don't forward it to anyone else. This is how false information is received as truth and in turn cause confusion, or harm to others.

This is such a helpful think to know, I'm Tweeting it!
Xenonlit, 911 and that special app seem to be the ticket. It is good to have an emergency backup number, if you can't get 911.
There is a cell phone app that is supposed to find the nearest local ambulance, fire, etc when you are on the road, but I'll stick with 911.
In Caliornia, it is not good to have to get past the Highway patrol dispatchers who wasted too much time with stupid questions on the one call that I had to make in 10 years.
This is the truth you is so nice writer.am so like in your style
