The Benefits of Writing for Hubpages

This hub is written to encourage writers to continue their pursuit to make money writing and publishing articles on HubPages! I am by no way a Hubpages expert, but have experienced some things that have made me quite excited, about what lays ahead for me financially.

I signed up with Hubpages in 2008, but was so busy with eHow, I did not work on hubpages at all. After some rocky changes with eHow’s Writer’s Compensation Program, I though I better start looking for another venue for my residual income.

I didn't start producing hubs until December of 2009, two years after I joined. (wasted time) Since then, have really seen an increase in my earnings. One of the keys to writing for any content site, is to write good solid articles, that interest, challenge or help people.

Keyword knowledge, article promotion and SEO are also extremely important things that will help your money grow. But I won't get into that now. I wanted to show you how your earnings grow little by little and after a plateau your Adsense earning really begin to multiply.

If you try a 30 day Hub Challenge, you will really see a great spike in traffic and Adsense earnings. A hub challenge is when your challenge yourself, to write 30, 50 or even 100 hubs in one month.

The best competition is when we compete with ourselves. There is a community available to help you and to support you in your challenges. The great thing about hub challenges is that even if you do not reach your goal, you have pushed yourself beyond what you would have done in the past.

HubPages offers affiliate Programs like Amazon.com, Kontera and Ebay to add to you ability to earn money. Capsules are designed to help you promote your products and produce three fold sales.

I do not use Amazon or Ebay, but am earning steadily and increasingly with my hubs alone. As you may know, Ebay is not adding any new individual affiliates and until recently, I never used Amazon. This is why I say stick with it. If you can't use all the affiliate programs, use what you have and make it work for you!

There are so many knowledgeable friendly people who are more helpful who will to support and help you succeed here. HubPages want you to do well, because when you do well HubPages does well.  Don't fail to ask for help.  No question is stupid.

Your persistence will win out, if you do not give up. Do not despise small beginnings, because small beginnings will grow, if you are patient and take time to nuture your skills.

Writing and publishing articles, is not a get rich quick venture. It is more of a farming venture. Plant your seeds, fertilize and water your crops and you will have a harvest, if you don’t quit. I by no means make as much money as other Hubbers, as I only have 85 hubs; but I know am on my way!

Below, you will see my earning for the past nine months. You will noticed that I had a few months where I made less then the previous month. I found that when I write no less then, 12 to 15 articles a month, my stats will go forward and not backward.
